About

Thank you for being interested in who I am and what I am all about.  My name is Kristina and I love being creative.  Having the time to be creative is usually the problem.  I am a wife to a loving man, a mother of two beautiful angels and I work 30+ hours a week.  It is only when I feel like I have been blessed with an 8th day in the week, that I really feel like I have time for these creations!

Being creative is a gift from God that has been enriched by having extremely creative people in my life.  I am the daughter of a selfless and patient woman that has taught me how to create beautiful crocheted afghans, delicious baked goods and fabulous family traditions.  I am the granddaughter of an exquisite woman who taught me to create unique gifts with whatever is at my fingertips.  She taught me to carve my own rubber stamps, to make tasty jam, and to enjoy every minute God gives you on this earth.  I am also the granddaughter of a woman filled with love for her family.  She taught me how to cook up fabulous family recipes that make all who taste them wonder when I will make more!   I come from a richly creative family and have been blessed.

My recent creative passion, and the reason for this blog, was brought on by my amazingly talented sister in law, Carrie.  She taught me that fabric can be considered “yummy” when I only thought that could be an adjective for food!  She has taught me to sew with love and step away from the machine when you want to throw it through the window!  (for: you…made with love frustration!  not pretty!)  She has also taught me that although sewing for someone is fun, sewing with someone is even funner! (yeah…I make up words, get used to it)

So I hope you enjoy the blog…and that you forgive me for infrequent or delayed postings, but an 8th day only comes around every once and awhile!

    Kris,
You are one of the two most creative people I know (you and my mom…it’s a toss up…not sure how the gene pool left me out on this one, but indeed it did)! You always inspire, assume and expect the best in people and its one of the traits I love most about you. Wish you could have tons of 8th days so that we could all see where it would lead!! I love the blog and will follow your posts with much interest and love. You are the best and having you in my life makes me a better person- thank you.
    Love you, Love, me

Oh, girl! Again… I’m so proud. I LOVE LOVE sewing with you and I’m so excited to see you grow each and every time. You know that I want to be you when I grow up, so it looks like we are a good influence for each other. Thanks for understanding me and my crazy fabric/sewing obsession. I’ll be following your new place in the world here. I love you!
