Covered Clothes Pins Tutorial

One of my favorite places for ideas of what to do with my kids is FamilyFun Magazine.  On one of the pages there was a picture of someone’s kids eating dinner at the table with their spelling words propped in front of them in picture stands…and then I thought of this:  Here is an itty bitty tutorial to show you how my girls did it!

You will need:

Fabric

Fabric marking pen

scissors or cutting mat and rotary cutter

Mod Podge

an applicator of some sort (we used a foam brush)

Step 1:

Trace the clothes pin 2 times on the wrong side of your chosen fabric.  We used different fabrics for the 2 sides of the clothes pin.  Cut out your fabric.

Step 2:

Use your applicator to apply the Mod Podge to the side of the clothes pin.

Step 3:

Lay the fabric over the Mod Podge and gently smooth it out.  Be careful not to pull on the fabric before laying it down as it will modify the length/width of your fabric.  Repeat this on the other side.

Step 4:

Use your applicator to place an outer layer of Mod Podge on top of fabric.  This will seal it and keep tiny little finger prints from staining the fabric.  Allow to dry and Ta! Da!  You did it!
